Robert Walker

Mr. Walker founded Storage of America in 2003 with his first big-box storage conversion in Indianapolis, Indiana. Since then, Mr. Walker has grown Storage of America’s portfolio to approximately 3.0 million square feet across 13,000 units in operating sites and sites under development.

Mr. Walker founded Walker International Capital in 1990, beginning his real estate investing career buying distressed land, office, multifamily, and hotel property primarily in the Phoenix, Arizona area during the Savings & Loan Collapse. Prior to real estate investing, Mr. Walker was an attorney with Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer in Calgary, Alberta.

Mr. Walker graduated from Brigham Young University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the same institution in 1988, and subsequently obtained his post-doctorate Master of Laws degree in International Banking Law from Boston University in 1989. Mr. Walker also studied law as a visiting student at Oxford University, St. Edmund Hall, in 1987. He has four children and lives with his wife, Joni, in Bountiful, Utah.
